What is Janus Pro

Janus Pro Sunlike is a digital skin-analysis system by PIE Co. (Korea). The face is photographed from three angles under three types of light: normal daylight shows what the eye sees, cross-polarised light removes surface glare and reveals redness, vessels and pigment under the surface, and UV light highlights sun damage, sebum and porphyrins in the pores that are invisible in a mirror. The software analyses the images and builds a visual report — pores, texture, wrinkle depth, pigmentation, redness, oiliness and hydration — which the specialist goes through with you on screen.

This is a diagnostic step, not a treatment: the device does not touch the skin and the session needs no preparation beyond removing make-up. Its value is in two things. First, the plan: with the images in front of you, the cosmetologist or dermatologist can explain why they recommend a particular care routine, peel, IPL or laser course rather than another. Second, the comparison: repeat photographs under identical conditions show objectively what a course has changed, instead of relying on memory or on how the skin looks that morning.

At La Vie Clinic the analysis takes 30–60 minutes including a cosmetologist's consultation. The device does not make a medical diagnosis and does not detect skin cancer — a changing or suspicious lesion is examined by a dermatologist with dermoscopy. Your photographs are personal data: they are stored according to the clinic's rules and are never published without your separate consent.
