What is Onda Pro

Onda Pro is a DEKA (Italy) device for non-invasive body contouring and skin tightening based on Coolwaves — microwaves at 2.45 GHz. Unlike radiofrequency or laser, microwaves at this frequency are absorbed mainly by fat tissue and pass through the skin with far less heating of the surface; the handpiece has built-in contact cooling, so the session feels like deep warmth. Depending on the handpiece, the energy is aimed at different depths: Deep for localised fat deposits, Shallow for cellulite and loss of skin firmness, and Pocket for the lower face and the area under the chin.

At La Vie Clinic Onda Pro is used on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks, knees and arms, and on the face including the chin. A typical course is 4–5 sessions about 30 days apart; the number of zones and sessions is set at the consultation after the specialist assesses tissue thickness and skin condition. Progress can be documented with QuantifiCare 3D photography. Onda Pro is not a weight-loss method or a treatment for obesity — it works on local areas and on the quality of the skin over them.

The procedure is postponed on damaged or inflamed skin and is not performed with implanted electronic devices, metal implants in the treated area, pregnancy or oncological diseases; the full list is checked at the consultation.
