What is InMode Optimas MAX
Optimas MAX is a multi-technology platform by InMode (Israel/Canada), one of the leading manufacturers of radiofrequency aesthetic systems. At La Vie Clinic it carries three handpieces, each solving its own task. Morpheus8 combines microneedles with bipolar radiofrequency: the needles deliver energy to a chosen depth, creating controlled thermal remodelling in the dermis — the method of choice for uneven texture, enlarged pores, post-acne marks, laxity and the contour of the lower face, neck and décolletage. Forma heats the tissue with the same bipolar RF but without needles: the handpiece glides over the skin while the system monitors temperature in real time — a gentle tightening for the face and neck with no recovery. Lumecca is intense pulsed light, not a laser: its energy is absorbed by pigment and by haemoglobin in superficial vessels, which makes it the tool for sun and age spots, freckles, visible capillaries, redness and photo-ageing.
The three are complementary, not interchangeable. Morpheus8 is performed under topical anaesthesia with 3–5 days of redness and micro-marks; Forma and Lumecca require no anaesthesia and no downtime. Which to start with — or how to sequence them in one plan — is decided at the consultation after a skin assessment; the dermatologist examines any changing or suspicious pigmented lesion before IPL.
Before any of the three, tell the specialist about pregnancy, implanted electronic devices, chronic diseases and medication, a tendency to scarring or pigmentation, herpes, fresh tan and recent procedures; the contraindication list differs by technology and is checked in full at the consultation.
