What is Again Pro
Again Pro is a medical laser platform made by DEKA M.E.L.A. (Florence, Italy) that combines two hair-removal wavelengths in one system: 755 nm Alexandrite for fair and fine hair on lighter skin, and 1064 nm Nd:YAG, which reaches deeper and is suitable for darker and tanned skin. The specialist selects the wavelength and parameters for your skin and hair type, so one device covers the full range of phototypes. Grey hair and hair without enough pigment respond weakly to any laser — this is discussed at the consultation.
The Moveo handpiece works in constant contact with the skin and in motion: instead of single high-energy shots, the follicles are heated gradually over several passes at lower fluence. According to the manufacturer, this reduces the energy reflected by the skin, makes the session noticeably more comfortable and shortens treatment time by up to 50% compared with conventional protocols. Integrated cooling keeps the skin comfortable throughout. The 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength is also used for vascular work: dilated facial capillaries, couperose, redness in rosacea-prone skin and small angiomas. A dermatologist assesses the vessels first and sets the protocol; the dedicated vascular pulse heats the vessel wall while sparing the surrounding skin.
La Vie Clinic operates two Again Pro systems in Riga. Hair removal is performed mainly with the 755 nm Alexandrite, switching to Nd:YAG for darker or tanned skin; vascular treatments on the same device are performed by our dermatologists. Zones: face, underarms, bikini area, arms, legs and body, for women and men. A course usually takes 6–10 sessions at increasing intervals; the exact plan is set at the first visit after an assessment of your skin and hair. Contraindications include pregnancy, oncological diseases, certain medications, active skin diseases, epilepsy and a pacemaker — the specialist checks these before the first session.
